Mission Statement

My mission is to aid athletes in their quest for optimal health and performance by providing holistic, manageable practices and routines encouraging them to both eat for enjoyment and fuel their training.

Credentials

I obtained my Holistic Health Coaching Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition with the thought to start my own health coaching practice back in 2017. I studied Sports Psychology in undergrad and though I did not graduate due to financial concerns, I retained much of the knowledge and put it into practice today.

My success in the marathon and trail ultra running is just one example of how turning that knowledge into practical use. In addition to sports psychology, I have been trained in performance nutrition both from experts and online courses, but also in my own experimentation. I have done enough both wrong and right to offer guidance and counsel in these areas. I am a firm believer in life-long learning so I will forever be honing my skills and knowledge to help you.

I believe food has a huge impact not only on energy for races and for life, but also on an athlete’s mood. Happy athletes run faster and feel better. Feelings associated with food influence race and training performances.

Whether it’s your daily training, daily life or in preparation for a goal or race, I am prepared and ready to assist in the healthy pursuit.

What Athletes Need

Most athletes who come to me asking for help with nutrition don’t need a dietician or medical professional. They don’t need a meal plan. They need someone like themselves. They need a trusted person who has both scientific knowledge and personal experience. A person who sees the athlete as a whole person, not simply a performance goal or time.

Most athletes need a check in or reboot if they’re struggling with the fear and uncertainty that being in sport can bring. You may find yourself out of whack, your nutrition not lining up with your training goals. Maybe you didn’t notice and change anything consciously, but your training is suffering.

I’m here to help you regain your focus and make training fun by working on the food that helps fuel performance. Food is emotional and physical, both parts are essential to full health and happiness. Sometimes, that gets lost in the weeds of splits, long runs, sleep, jobs and family life.

Athletes need a check in and accountability for a short period of time, in which we will practice skills so they regain a healthy mindset and competitive edge.

I’m that person to facilitate change without taking over your life.

Food is life, but life is more than food. I want to help you enjoy it.
